EHE LIGHT™ UV Activator Device for Hair Extensions

The UV activator device is the heart of the EHE LIGHT™ system. It emits 395 nm UV-A light that cures the extension adhesive in a few seconds: the strand is fixed without irons, without heat and without pulling. It is the device you need to apply UV hair extensions. EHE LIGHT™ is the brand of this system; consumables and instructions from other brands are not interchangeable.

Its shape is designed for working strand by strand: you focus the light on the bond point, hold it within 1 cm and the shield protects both the client and you during curing. It is powered by USB, so it works just as well at the salon station as during an appointment at the client’s home.

It is calibrated for the EHE LIGHT™ adhesive. Together they give a fine, flexible bond that is water resistant once cured.

It is the wavelength that best balances speed and depth of curing for this adhesive. Below 365 nm, the light carries more energy than is needed; above 400 nm, it moves into the visible spectrum and cures too slowly.

At 395 nm, the adhesive cures fully and evenly in 6 to 8 seconds per side. It is the same UV-A range used for gel nail polish and for some dental sealants. If the technical side interests you, we explain it on the EHE LIGHT™ UV technology page.

1. Position the strand with a drop of adhesive and spread it with the brush until you have a fine, flat bond point.
2. Bring the lamp to within 1 cm of the bond point, with the shield facing the client’s skin.
3. Apply light for 6 to 8 seconds on the top.
4. Turn it over and repeat for 6 to 8 seconds on the underside.
5. Check with your fingertips that the bond point is hard, then move on to the next strand.

Safety good practice

• Do not look directly at the light and do not point it towards the eyes.
• Always use the shield and work at the stated distance.
• Unplug the device and store it in its box at the end of the appointment.

• Heat-free: natural human hair never meets an iron or a fusion tool.
• Fast: less than 20 seconds of light per strand.
• Invisible: the bond point is fine and cannot be felt to the touch.
• Water resistant: it is best to keep the bonds dry for the first three days.
• Light and USB-powered: it fits in any kit bag and runs from a 5 V phone charger.
• Certified: CE, RoHS and FCC for professional use in the European Union.

The lamp is sold on its own for those who already have their consumables or who need a second device at the salon. The device comes with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty against manufacturing defects under normal conditions of use.
