Offering UV Hair Extensions in Your Hair Salon

October 12, 2026 · EHE Light

To get started, you need three things: training in the method, a professional system (a certified UV device, adhesive, removal solution and tools) and quality hair. With the EHE LIGHT™ professional kit, you get the equipment, a 14-module Professional Guide (digital manual) and 6 months of support. Your application prices are yours to set, based on your salon, your working time and the cost of the hair: we do not publish a price list.

More and more clients are asking for “light extensions”. They have seen them on social media, a friend wears them, and they want to know whether you offer them. If the answer is no, they go elsewhere. And they take more than this one appointment with them: they also take the maintenance appointments every 6 to 8 weeks for months to come.

This guide is for you if you run a hair salon, or work for yourself, and are thinking of adding this service.

Why now

  • Growing curiosity. Clients discover cold application on social media and ask their hairdresser about it.
  • A technique worth mastering. Extension training often focuses on keratin, tape-in and micro-rings: learning UV light application lets you offer one more service.
  • A client who comes back. It is a service with regular maintenance every 6 to 8 weeks, as a guide. That means recurring revenue and a full diary.

Faster application than with keratin

Animation: time for a full head with the traditional method and with the UV bond.

Each bond cures in 6 to 8 seconds per side, with no waiting for keratin to cool. A full head that usually takes 3 to 4 hours with traditional methods can be done in under 2 hours. What is more, the preparation tasks (washing, sectioning, the final cut) can be handed to a trained assistant. This lets you carry out more services per day without lengthening your working day.

What training you need

You do not need to have applied extensions before, but you do need to be a practising hair professional. The method calls for technique: the thickness of each section, the weight per bond (0.5 to 1 g), the distance from the scalp (1 to 1.5 cm), the zone map and, above all, correct removal.

With the EHE LIGHT™ kit, you receive the complete 14-module Professional Guide, from the basics of the UV bond to calculating bond numbers, pricing and selling the service. This digital manual is available in Spanish, French and English. If you prefer to learn live, a limited-places masterclass is presented on its own page; no sessions in the UK or Europe and no certified training are announced at present.

The system works with keratin extensions, tape-in extensions and sewn-in wefts (cut along the stitching to give separate sections), as well as loose hair. So you can reuse the hair you already have in the salon.

How to set your prices

ServiceWhat to take into account
Full head, client’s own hairApplication time, number of bonds, consumables
Full head with premium hair, application design, cut and 4-week checkCost of the hair, application time, cut and check
Maintenance (removal and reapplication)Depends on the number of bonds

We do not publish reference prices. A higher-end offer is justified if you provide a complete experience: consultation, shade choice, a tailored application and a check-up. To see how clients approach the question, take a look at our article on what makes the price of an application vary.

Do your sums calmly: the equipment pays for itself as you carry out more applications, and consumables can be restocked separately. What really makes the service profitable is the client who comes back every 6 to 8 weeks.

Also from home

The device is compact, runs on USB and needs neither a heated clamp nor any special power socket. The whole kit fits in one case. If you work from home or at events (weddings, communions, photo shoots), this is a service you can take anywhere.

How to present it in your salon

  • Show it. A short video of the light curing a section works very well on Instagram and TikTok. The client understands the method in 10 seconds.
  • Talk about what concerns her. Heat-free application, discretion, water resistance once the adhesive has cured. For your arguments, this comparison with keratin sets them out in detail.
  • Think of fine hair. This is the client who appreciates this method most and who had the fewest options. We explain it in extensions for fine hair.
  • Book the maintenance appointment at the end of the visit. Before she leaves, book the appointment for 6 to 8 weeks later.

Start with the complete system: kit, 14-module guide (digital manual) and 6 months of VIP support on WhatsApp.
